As a base text for the book, I have permission to use "Journey to the Centre of Google Earth", by Simon Sellars.
This essay looks at Google Earth, and some of the poetic outcomes of texture mapping, edge conditions, and the inevitable distortions and mysteries of that system, and of other systems that large and ambitious.
The content of my book is about “pareidolia in google earth”. Pareidolia is a kind of psychological phenomenon. Nearly everyone has experienced it. It is the imagined perception of pattern or meaning where it does not actually exist. It is picking a face out of a knotted tree trunk or finding zoo animals
in the clouds. We also can find these interesting things on google earth’s satellite images.
